USA Today article highlights Truett Cathy, Chick-fil-A

Model marriage: Jeanette and S. Truett Cathy set an example.   Throughout its 39 year history, Chick-fil-A has promoted family values but now many more know the extent to which the company supports healthy marriages. Truett Cathy, Chick-fil-A’s founder, has been married for 57 years and intuitively knows what researchers are now proving: employees are more productive and healthier when their marriages are intact and satisfying. Chick-fil-A corporate employees, as well as franchise owner/operators, are able to take advantage of marriage focused benefits which include marriage retreats, brown bag lunch presentations, seminars and help from on-call counselors.

At the Smart Marriage annual conference held in Atlanta during June, Truett and his wife Jeanette were presented with the 2006 Smart Marriage Impact Award, the first ever given to a corporation. Diane Sollee of Smart Marriages is hopefully that this will influence other businesses to implement healthy marriage practices in the future.
