Mr. Byron Gossett is one of two founding partners of the Bridgeworks Group, LLC, a consulting firm focusing on capacity building for privately-owned companies as well as national ministries. Mr. Gossett recently completed a two year role as the Chief Executive Officer of MarriageToday, a national and international marriage ministry that utilizes, among other things, a national daily television program hosted by Jimmy and Karen Evans. Mr. Gossett was responsible for building a television production and support team, streamlining the financial infrastructure, and leading a $3.5 million capital campaign that funded the launch of daily national television programming in the fall of 2005. Mr. Gossett served on the Board of Directors of MarriageToday for thirteen years.
Prior to the two-year role at MarriageToday, Mr. Gossett was involved in agribusiness, banking, and investing in private businesses. In that context, he has developed both expertise and a broad experience base in asset management and risk management. He has served as a director of four separate financial institutions over a three-decade time span, beginning when he was 25 years old. Currently, Mr. Gossett serves on the Community Board of Wells Fargo in Amarillo. Mr. Gossett has served at both state and national levels in the livestock industry as an elected and an appointed leader in such organizations as the National Livestock and Meat Board and the National Beef Council. The primary vehicle for Mr. Gossett’s agribusiness activities has been a family business. Most recently, he has taken his formal training and his career experiences in family business to establish the basis for a mentoring program for young Christian men, who are involved in family business.
Mr. Gossett has a Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration from Texas Christian University and a master of Agriculture from Texas A&M University. Additionally, he has completed an Executive Education program at the Harvard Graduate School of Business in the area of Owner/President Management.
Byron Gossett serves as an elder of his church, Trinity Fellowship Church, an 8,000 member non-denominational church. He is currently actively involved in the financial planning of a $30 million church facility expansion that is currently under way.
Mr. Gossett is gifted in relational skills and in strategic thinking. He has done some public speaking over his career and has been very effective as a “bridge-builder” in a wide variety of settings. His gifts and experiences are a natural complement to those of Dr. Scott Sticksel. Together, they have been successful in facilitating a number of growth models for both non-profit organizations and for entrepreneurial ventures. They are consensus builders and they place high value on relationships as the foundation of organizational progress. They have remained very selective regarding the consulting arrangements that they undertake, exercising care to balance their time resources between performing valuable consulting and maintaining rich family dynamics in their respective homes.
Mr. Gossett resides in Amarillo with his wife Tricia and has three grown children, Clark, Abby and Jordan.
